Consultation

Your visit to Texas Vascular Institute will begin with a brief review of your medical history followed by a physical exam. Together, the medical history review and physical exam take about 30 minutes. An ultrasound imaging study will be performed on patients with varicose veins and more advanced vein problems; however, patients with spider veins and no other symptoms can typically receive same-day treatment if desired.

Imaging

If you have varicose veins or more advanced vein problems, we will use ultrasound imaging to determine the location and the extent of the underlying vein reflux that is causing your vein problems. The ultrasound exam can take up to 60 minutes.

With a consultation and screening, please expect your new patient visit to be about an hour and a half. Please complete any necessary forms prior to your visit. You can download and print new patient forms here.
